Donation

MATERIAL GOODS

Donation of material and in-kind donations are greatly appreciated and needed. Gently used clothing, household items, furniture or vehicles donated to the thrift stores not only provide funds to maintain programs but also provides for those in need with vouchers for essential items.

In-kind donations of new toys and clothing are needed to provide for the KUTV 2News/Salvation Army Angel tree in November and December. 2009 marks the 18th years of providing gifts to children and seniors at Christmas. Angel laden trees are on display November 20 through December 12 at all Macy’s Department Stores and Cyprus Credit Unions giving the community an opportunity to adopt an angel and provide Christmas for those less fortunate.

Items for our homeless friends would include: hygiene kits (comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, tissue, lotions) as well as sleeping bags, blankets, warm clothes, socks and scarf’s.

Donations

Your donations help us continue our promise of Doing The Most Good in the lives of others!
This past year, more than 10 million caring citizens donated gently used items such as clothing, furniture, appliances and toys to The Salvation Army. Your tax-deductible contributions are then sold through our popular Family Thrift stores around the country.

Proceeds from the sale of donated items help fund our Adult Rehabilitation Center, located at 252 S. 500 E. SLC, which provides substance abusers and others struggling with various forms of life issues with the necessary tools to re-enter society, re-unite with their children and family and learning to live productive lives.

When donating items at a staffed location, you will be immediately provided with a tax receipt of your donation for your records. To accelerate the transaction, be sure to prepare and bring an itemized list of your donation with you.
