Salt Lake City – May 11, 2011        The Salt Lake Salvation Army will hold the 5th Annual “Doing the Most Good” Donor and Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon at the LDS Church Office Building 26th Floor, 50 E. North Temple, Salt Lake City from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

National Salvation Army Week, celebrated May 10 – 15,  is one week that the Salt Lake Corps specifically dedicates to thanking the community, patrons, volunteers and most of all God for the blessings we receive in order to facilitate ministries throughout the Wasatch Front.

This luncheon provides The Salvation Army an opportunity to recognize and show appreciation to the many individuals, corporations and service organizations that volunteer, provide financial assistance and partner with The Salvation Army.  “It is through the continued support of our community donors and volunteers that make it possible for the Army to continue to provide services to the less fortunate in our community”, said Major Richard Greene, The Salvation Army Wasatch Front Area Coordinator.
