FOOD BOXES
The Salvation Army’s Family Services Program offers food boxes, clothing, personal items, household goods, and furniture items for families and individuals in economic crisis. To qualify for services, recipients must have a current, permanent address, identification and proof of income. The Family Services center serves approximately 80 families daily, Monday 1 – 6PM and Wednesday and Friday from 9-11:30AM and 1 – 4 PM.  Closed Tuesday and Thursday.

Thousands of families were served in 2009.

fam2SOCIAL SERVICES also provides
spiritual and personal counseling, community service, needs assessments and referrals.

Salt Lake Area Family Services has recently moved to 438 South 900 West, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Ogden Area Family Services provides food boxes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 2635 South Grant Ave in Ogden as well as a morning breadfast daily.

COMMUNITY DINING ROOM
The Salvation Army’s Homeless Services provides a daily hot meal in downtown Salt Lake City to approximately 500 homeless and low-income individuals in the community. Homeless Services also offers emergency clothing and personal items to anyone in need.

Volunteer individuals, service and church groups along with friendly, accepting staff provide sandwiches along with a warm smile and complete meal. Case-management is provided for those who may otherwise fall through the cracks of other community services. The case manager provides basic homeless assistance and serves as a resource to other services offered within the community.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSfam3
The Salvation Army is proud to be a United Way Agency and partners with many local organizations: Utah Food Bank, LDS Humanitarian Services, Sysco, American Red Cross, Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD), Operation English, the Beaumont Foundation and computer lab, and Salt Lake Community College. In addition to these, there are many others committed to helping to serve those in need throughout our community.

Thank you, we couldn’t help those in need without your continued support.
