How are RED KETTLE donations used?

information | Posted by fluidadmin

Support from the Annual Red Kettle Kick Off donations along with funds collected from the KETTLE CAMPAIGN  enables the Salvation Army to: increase services, broaden our outreach, and cut costs which enable us to increase services to those who need them. Again, thanks to all how joined us as KETTLE CAPTAINS each year as it continues to be an opportunity to invest in future generations by meeting human needs in our community today.

Your commitment to this community is an inspiration to others. Thank you for your consideration in becoming a Salvation Army KETTLE CAPTAIN.

Congratulations to 2009 Traveling Trophy Awardees
AMERICAN EXPRESS, Chris Seibert Kettle Captain.

THE KUTV 2NEWS/SALVATION ARMY ANGEL TREE

Events | Posted by fluidadmin

Since it’s inception in 1992, the KUTV 2 NEWS/Salvation Army ANGEL TREE has provided thousands of children and seniors gifts during the holiday season who may have otherwise been forgotten.  Angel laden trees were on display at all Macy’s Department Stores and Cyprus Credit Unions, beginning November 23 through December 12 giving you an opportunity to angel and share the joy of the season with the less fortunate.  The 2009 Holiday Season’s need was great with 6,787 children receiving gifts and over 1,500 seniors in the Salt Lake Area alone.

Special thanks to all volunteers who were so generous with time given in taking applications in October and November and working in the Distribution Center through December.  Call (801) 988-4204 for volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
